Simple Syrup
A basic ingredient of many drinks, simple syrup is easy to make, and allows you to add sugar to cold drinks without the need to constantly stir them.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water
Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan.
Heat the mixture on the stove until sugar is dissolved, stirring periodically. That's it!
Ginger Syrup
Not too many drinks use it, but when they do, you're in for a treat. Impress your friends with something a little exotic.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of grated ginger
Combine ingredients in a saucepan and simmer on low heat for 45 minutes.
Let cool, strain out ginger, and keep in refrigerator in a bottle or jar.
